Would you want a RWD MKZ?

The Lincoln MKZ is currently offered as a FWD and AWD option. Would any of you guys buy a RWD version. How much more would you be willing to pay for it?

Nice sketch I think it would forever remain a concept but yes a coupe would do good for Lincoln I think. That is one type of vehicle they are missing. A luxury coupe from them could get some attention from consumers.
I think the RWD issue comes down to platforms, seeing as MKZ shares one with the Fusion FWD/AWD is the only option, barring engineering revisions..

this is it.

at this point there's no way they will go back to RWD with the way the industry is moving. MKZ will stay FWD/AWD for years to come

It's unfortunate that is the case but maybe sometime in the future Lincoln could come up with a better chassis to support rear wheel drive.
Perhaps a coupe in the works can make a great balance and support but that is just part of the rumor mill at the moment. I would love to see it happen from Lincoln.

Who would want to see a rwd coupe!?
Why doesn't lincoln just use a platform from mustang since it's already a rear wheel drive support chassis.
It all comes down to how much they would end up selling it for. I mean is there really a huge demand for a luxury coupe.

Thats exactly what I'm thinking, I would even settle for a stretched Mustang chassis under a four door coupe kind of deal. Maybe something along the lines of the CLS

Imagine the back end of the MKZ on a coupe, sexxxxxx

YEAH!!!!

I would love to see that someone should take a side shot of the MKZ and photoshop it to two doors ;)

zep has it nailed down.

Personally I think AWD is just fine as long as its engineered the right way with a good torque split and computer controlling the distribution.
