The Lincoln MKZ is simply Lincoln's attempt to modify a Ford Fusion to make it a luxury car. Lincoln used to be known as an alternate luxury line, particularly in comparison to Cadillac. They've lost their way and they keep coming up short, especially in competition with the Cadillac CTS-V. They are not in the same league and one is tempted to conclude that Ford has decided to try a different approach, rather than continue to compete with Caddy. The underlying Fusion is a better vale with the same options, but it doesn't have the same curb appeal to the geriatric set as a Lincoln. So, is it worth it?

Lincoln is a unique brand, they basically make luxury vehicles just above the entry-level, which are unique in their own ways. Vehicles like what Acura, Buick, etc has to offer. There's no way they will offer performance like Cadillac and shouldn't.

If you want an A-to-B luxury car with some decent straight line power thats also american, Lincoln is a brand to consider

Even if you feel like the MKZ is a fancier Fusion it doesn't change the fact that the MKZ is fancier. I'd pay for fancy. :)
and that is why the mkz still sells on the market. I agree fully that fancy, I could never settle for the ford fusion even for it's value. At the end of the day if two were to pull up i just know the mkz would steal the show.

I'll agree that Lincoln has some catching up to do to get to Cadiliac's level. If a coupe was ever actually in the works at the Lincoln studios tat might be the solution to their problem.

Lets just leave Cadillac out of the equation for a minute. They are well and established but things have only turned around for them the past couple years. The ATS was another great addition and turn around. But if Lincoln were to have another mainstream line and have more vehicles that might just help.
