The 2016 MKS has been rendered and there is little in common with the MKZ. Apparently the MKZs futuristic, concept-like style won't apparently lead anywhere. I was under the impression the MKZ was to set the design language for Lincoln going forward much as the Fusion has set the design language for Ford.

The MKS should show up with choices of a new EcoBoosted 2.9-liter V-6 codenamed Nano, or the proven EcoBoost 3.5-liter V-6. The 3.5 should match or pass the 365 horses on tap in the Taurus SHO, while the Nano V-6 should kick out somewhere in the 300 range.

I think we will all be in agreement if the new MKS comes out looking anything like this render it will be a stunning vehicle fit to battle the XTS.

if there's one photo I had to show someone to prove that lincoln is actually capable of design a beautiful premium side, this side shot of the MKS will do it...

call me crazy but i get a little bit of this from the profile shot of that MKS

And actually the new MKS will not be riding on the same platform as the Taurus but it will be underpinned by a lengthened MKZ chassis, which is too bad because i was really hoping for something RWD, you have to figure Chevy has the SS sedan, Chrysler/Dodge has 300/Charger, the 5 series and E-class are RWD as well as the Infiniti M (soon to be Q70)
i see that, I see a lot of German and British influence in the MKS design, even in the MKZ. thankfully at the same time it still looks like what an American car should.
