2013 Lincoln MKZ Nice But Disappointing - Business Insider

A fancy fusion? That is harsh. I think it is way more than a fancy fusion.

these are their complaints

  • The beeping designed to alert you when you are too close to another car does not stop after a few seconds. So if you stop a foot behind someone at a red light, it will beep until you're moving again.
  • The switch for the headlights is in an unusual place, and hard to find in the dark (a bad time not to have your headlights on).
  • The very cool panoramic roof limits visibility out the back of the car when it's open.
  • The front seat automatically moves backward when the car is turned off. That's nice for the driver, but not for the passenger behind him.
  • There are no audio or climate controls in the back seat.
  • Functions of the navigation system can't be used when the car is moving — even when there's a passenger present. The smart move to limit driver distraction backfires here.
  • A piece of plastic behind the door handle fell off. This should never happen in a brand new, $50,000 vehicle.

Pretty typical complaints of a tech savy car. It's pretty much annoying and i could understand that but sometimes with so many things going on its making you more miserable then safe. Isn't there a way to turn off those features. but when i think of it why am i paying over $30,000 to turn off these features that are suppose to help...

I feel your pain. I have been in my friends New Ford Fusion, it has similar features where it would beep to warn you of certain things like a car is in your blind spot and so fourth. But even me as a passenger couldn't stand those things I can't imagine trying to drive during this whole or deal.

The only thing that I could argue about is the lack of climate controls and audio control in the rear. The MKZ is premium luxury but its not a freakin limo.

A lot of small complaints but I think they can add up and say something about the overall quality and reliability of a car. A piece of plastic coming off doesn't sound very promising to me. If that were to happen to me after spending 50k for a brand new car, I would be pissed.

Fancy Fusion....maybe they have a point. Lincoln could have been really cheap with the development of the MKZ and just dropped a redesigned shell over a Fusion chassis and powertrain and drivetrain instead of making it something completely new.

Hopefully they didn't or else it will be just like what they said, a fancy fusion.

Anyone know the differences between the fusion and MKZ aside from the obvious?
