So September was actually a really good month for Lincoln and its MKZ. The MKZ sold 12% more vehicles this September than last September. That is 2874 MKZs sold for the month. And, overall, MKZ sales are up 1% from last year at this point. I take that as a win for Lincoln. Hopefully things continue in the right direction.

It doesn't look like a hearse, but it does look like a car that a funeral home director would drive. Or what the hearse driver drives in when he isn't driving the hearse. It makes it slightly less impressive having numbers like that when you consider what you are comparing it to. Obviously the redesign was needed and has been somewhat effective.

funeral homes use Cadillac actually. Just saying. LOL a 1% increase over last years MKZ is quite pitiful, although for now I will chalk it up to the 2013 MKZ not having a full sales year as its launch was delayed...

If you look at the data the '13 MKZ sold like a kinghellfreak in April and May compared to the '12 MKZ. But has not managed to put up impressive numbers over its predecessor in the rest of the months. sales are pretty much the same.

It's not bad news, but it is as close to bad news as possible without being bad news. I think that Lincoln is starting to figure out what it needs to do in order to get out of its slump in the future. More models that people actually want to buy!

Like Infiniti, Lincoln should plan to put out plenty of new and improved models over the next little while.

That and they should look into partnering up with some other successful car maker, something Infiniti is doing with Mercedes as we speak. But who can they partner up with?

Yeah I agree it just has a dark look too it almost freaky now you mention it. All it needs is a purple siren light and it passes as a funeral service vehicle.

Infiniti was making good cars before they partnered with Benz though, and its only to develop a cheesy FWD platform for Infinitis Q30 and Mercedes CLA and GLA. If people harp on the MKZ for not being luxury they should definitely lynch the CLA for not being a real Mercedes...

How about Lincoln partners with Ford... I heard they're doing pretty well
