My name is Lou. My lease on my 2011 Jag XF is up in May. I do not want to spend that kind of money again. I am looking for a luxury car, loaded, for about 45K. After going to the LA Auto show, this car jumped out at me. I test drove and liked, but thought it was a little under powdered. I am not a racer.

Any feedback on the car, performance, warranty, etc,etc. Hope to hear from you

Welcome to the forum.

Going from a Jaguar to MKZ, there might be a whole lot of things you will miss. It's best to test drive an MKZ for yourself to see if you really like it.
I don't know if you can say for sure that he will miss things... Maybe jaguar uses a higher quality wood than lincoln but in terms of features and technology the MKZ blows jaguar away.

Why the hybrid might i ask?

I would say if the only thing holding you back is the power, just go for the petrol MKZ instead of the hybrid MKZ. If you can get over the lesser power, go with the hybrid which costs the same as the regular version.

even though that is true if you are worried about not having enough power for highway driving then the petrol model might be more suitable

the best thing to do is just test drivea hybrid and find out for yourself.

the hybrid does have great low end torque thanks to the electric motors.

great in the hills

I have owned a Fusion 2010 Hybrid for 4 years and loved it so much that i just got a 2014 Hybrid MKZ.I kept the Fusion also.
I found that driving in the hills increased my MPG because insted of down shifting to gain power to go up a hill the electric motor came on with out any gas motor RPM changes so the mpg did not change.Then when going down the hill ,the rpm's of the gas motor dropped lower so you actually are getting better mpg's in the hills then on flat roads.How great is that.As far as power goes it has plenty when needed as the electric will boost the gas horsepower when needed.By the way the only time my 2010 has been in the shop is for the 10,000 mile oil change and to put on new tires after 60,000 miles.The teck looked at the brakes when the tires were changed and could not believe that there was that many miles on it cause the brake pads looked new.I don't think i will ever have to do the brakes on a hybrid as the regen system does almost all the stopping.Another reason o buy a hybrid.Almost no maintenance cost.
And my 2014 mkz is even better fuel wise that my 2010.You have to love FORD.
And i had a Jag before going to the hybrid.Yes you loose some power and road handling fun but what a savings of $.

Good point about electric power and going up hills, i know one member was worried about that. Did you feel it had enough power or what?
