Concerning personal recommendations: Over the years, I have used the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 and Pilot Sport AS3+ to replace the OEM Michelins on my older MKZ, and am very happy with them. The newer model is the Pilot Sport AS4.
While I am some time away from needing new tires on either of my MKZ's, if I did need new tires, I would install the Pilot Sport AS4.
Also, just on a related note: The Hankook Optimo was not the OEM factory tire on your 2017 MKZ. So they were previosuly replaced.
