I am original owner of a 2012 MKZ Hybrid which has 91,000 miles on it, is 10 years old and operates as good as ever. I know the hybrid battery will have to be replaced eventually and cost around $8000. I'm wondering if anyone out there has an original 2012 hybrid battery MKZ car that has gone over 150,000 miles. Just curious if any have lasted that long. Thanks.
Before I recently retired, we sold Dorman replacement batteries for hybrids. I would say 150k plus is the norm for replacement. Corrosion in the high voltage leads caused most battery issues.
