I felt the same way at first. I loved the previous generation of the Lincoln MKZ as well But when I kept reading articles about the new 2013 MKZ and seeing the pictures it slowly kicked in.
I agree, the older design looks more utilitarian while the 2013 looks more luxury. I actually dig both designs. It would be cool to see a comparison photo of both together. It looks like the 2012 is much bigger. The 2013 MKZ is a more futuristic design. I think it grabs attention in a good way though. It looks "premium"
If that makes any sense.
this squared design was so much better.![]()
I'm on the same boat as you FLM89. I feel that the 2012 MKZ is a little bolder with the lines where the new 2013 MKZ is much smoother. Hard to explain if you dont know what I mean but definitely is a transition.
It's a possibility but I doubt it. If people really want to change the look, there might be an aftermarket piece for it. But I don't really think the new design is bad at all. People would just learn to live with it.this squared design was so much better.
but it's not too late for lincoln to change it up. depending on how bad or good people think the current design is they might change it for the next production year.
Not only is it futuristic but it also sets the bar for the premium look and styling. If they keep that same concept in mind they will always come up with the most trendy designs. The 2013 MKZ is a more futuristic design. I think it grabs attention in a good way though. It looks "premium"

If any manufacturer ever goes back to their old design I would find it odd. It will take some time for it to set in place but it makes sense. If you took the older front fascia and combine it with the new rear end design it would all look too odd. It's a possibility but I doubt it.
