Lincoln was down 1% in sales the same period last year. The MKZ was down 7% as part of that figure. With many other car companies posting large gains (Lexus up 26%, Toyota up 17%, SUBARU up 43%) how does this news bode for Lincoln?
With the MKZ getting such good reviews, I think that the problem is with the brand itself. How can Lincoln position itself as an exciting brand, moving away from its old-person-car stereotype?
