New Chevy Impala out performs Lincoln MKZ for less money
Lisle, IL residents introduced to Chevrolet of Naperville

NAPERVILLE, Ill., May 24, 2013 -- /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- There is a flurry of news coming from the team at Chevrolet of Naperville. First of all, there is still a strong buzz surrounding the arrival of the 2014 Chevy Impala in Naperville, IL. The new Chevy Impala has been one of the most anticipated arrivals in a year that has been full of exciting announcements from Chevrolet in terms of new vehicles. Also, Chevrolet of Naperville is happy to announce themselves as a new Chevy dealer near Lisle, IL. The residents of Lisle may already be familiar with Chevrolet of Naperville, but if they are not, they will be treated to a car buying experience that is unlike anything else they may have previously experienced.

With the arrival of the new Chevy Impala, the flagship sedan of Chevrolet's passenger car fleet, it is important to see how it stacks up against the competition. In keeping with the idea that an informed customer is the best customer; the team at Chevrolet of Naperville has put together a direct comparison of the 2014 Chevy Impala vs. the 2013 Lincoln MKZ.

When looking at these two full-size sedans, there are two diverging paths that ultimately lead to similar destinations. The Chevy Impala has always been a vehicle billed as a luxury sedan that is affordable to almost everybody, whereas Lincoln cars have always stood for luxury, but not always the most affordable. The MSRP for the 2014 Chevy Impala comes in nearly $9,000 less than that of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. And that difference doesn't really get consumers a big leap in any one category. Certainly the Lincoln has a strong V-6 engine that produces well more than 200-horsepower. However, while saving a significant amount of money, the 2014 Chevy Impala can be had with an even stronger V-6 engine that will top out at 305-horsepower and still be more than competitive in terms of fuel-economy. Also the interior of the new Chevy Impala will easily rival just about anything the Lincoln MKZ has to offer.

The residents of Lisle, IL are really in for a treat. Chevrolet of Naperville has built a strong reputation among its existing customer base as a place they can come for honest answers and be treated with the respect and reverence that can be lacking sometimes these days. When new customers from Lisle, IL come to Chevrolet of Naperville for the first time they will have access to a top notch service department that is more than qualified to handles everything from routine maintenance to the most confounding car repair issues.

Difference here is that the MKZ wasn't made to be a performance sedan and has things that takes away from it being a true performance sedan unless something is seriously done about power and suspension. To being, the panoramic roof probably weighs a lot and definitely doesn't help with performance since it's all glass, and glass is heavy.

I see the MKZ as more of a unique A-to-B car, not something you'd see on the 1/4 mile or nurburgring

I actually like the Chevy Impala. I really like the changes they made for this year's model, since it looks more luxurious. But the big difference is the MKZ is hybrid, while the Impala isn't. They also cost the same. Clear advantage for Lincoln.

Chevy did do a good job with design, even the new malibu looks great and design was where both of these cars were failing, they already had nice power to them like a lot of american sedans

The Chevrolet Impala will be a favorite with taller drivers due to its greater front head- and legroom than the Lincoln MKZ. You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Chevrolet Impala as you will with the Lincoln MKZ, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the Chevrolet Impala is clearly a better financial choice over the Lincoln MKZ. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Chevrolet Impala carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Lincoln MKZ.
