I would go with the dual exhaust covers for the MKZ and plus if you look closely at the black diffuser piece it has a gloss finish which means only the higher trim would only include that finish instead of the matte black plastic finish on the lower trim model.

Good observation finally we have a solution for that diffuser piece on the rear bumper. I would have thought we had to go out of our way to have it repainted.

The integrated exhaust looks clean. My only concern is cleaning the exhaust tips once they become black. The painted bumper gets in the way and can be easily scratched.
Is there something that could be sprayed or applied on to keep it from tarnishing or turning black? I thought I came by something like that.

What would be the best way to clean the exhaust tips anyways?

I guess you can use masking tape around the perimeter and protech the finish of the bumper and ise a solvent to spray on and use a brush to losing the contaminants. That is the best way i can think of unless there is another solution.

My first visual impression of the exhaust tips was 'very cool'. My first thought was, "dual tips make it look very balanced - I hope that both are functional!"

I was pleased when I looked down and saw that both tips are indeed 'functional' with the single muffler splitting the exhaust out both sides.

I have seen several cars with cosmetic tips like this with the exhaust only on one side. I think that it looks silly on a cool/cold day to have the exhaust steam only exiting one side.
