they made the exhaust separate for a reason. The covers are integrated in the bumper and its plastic so when you add heat guess what happens. It will melt or warp the bumper.I think those are just exhaust covers, sadly. Kinda reminds me of what Lexus did with their previous ISF. I do like the looks but if it was actually functional that would be a plus.
Makes sense.they made the exhaust separate for a reason. The covers are integrated in the bumper and its plastic so when you add heat guess what happens. It will melt or warp the bumper.
they probably did that so the paint won't melt from the exhaust which is smart but they could have kept that whole area painted and had something around the exhaust tips that won't burn up or melt.
very true, but they could have done a better job at making it look more clean. mercedes is a good example of what should be done. The tips are most likely just covers. the bumper would melt the way its held in their.
i don't think material is what it is, it's just how they shape it and dyed it. It's probably the same or similar material that other car makers with cool diffuser-like rear bumper pieces have.I like the exhaust and the general design but I do think the bumper looks cheap compared to the rest of the car. Maybe if Lincoln were to use a different material it would look better.
