I'm becoming a fan of the 2014 MKZ Hybrid, and thinking of purchasing one. I like the look of the exterior with the exception of the front grill. It really does not appeal to me aesthetically.

Are there any aftermarket replacement hoods and/or grills that are available?

hey ncdave welcome to the show! What seems to be your disparage with the MKZ's grill? I mean is it the horizontal slats, the shape, the color?

I was only able to find one possible lead, and that was a blacked out grill, but even then I dont think it was aftermarket, just the stocker with a coat of gloss black..

It's a pretty odd shape to work with as far as the after market goes. Some of the Lincoln vehicles have the slats going vertically instead of horizontally, so there may be a way to make that change.

If it was up to me I would start with blacking out the individual bars and just leave the outside OEM as a lining around it.

why buy a car with a grill you dont like?

I'll really like it with the bars blacked out in the middle, not every car is perfect, sometime we need to add our personal touch to it to make it truly up to our liking

That's kinda interesting actually. I like how it continues the theme of the grille in the lower fender.

TBH, it just seems like the MKZ's grille is not the easiest to customize. It is integrated in the headlights really well, and is a pretty distinct shape. It seems like the things listed here are probably most of the options you have.

I think there is a pretty broad consensus that the new Lincoln grille is much better than the old Lincoln grille. That sh*t is ugly. The new grille doesn't appeal to everyone though, and I think that it looks better on some models than others.

For example, I think that the Lincoln grille looks better on the MKC than it does on the MKZ. I think it might be a matter of proportions.

I think the grille looks better on the MKZ because of how the headlights are shaped, they actually complement the grille and overall vehicle design very well, better than the MKZ

well not really, its just a headlight bezel. It has nothing to do with the difficulty in replicating the pattern, because any modern manufacturer worth 10 cents has the ability to duplicate shapes. It comes down to demand, MKZ is a far more upscale car now than it used to be, its not attracting the same type of crowd it used to. For that custom options don't exist...

I'm not into Donks, don't like the size of wheel he went with but the style of wheel looks great, it suits Lincoln styling very well.

I prefer tasteful looking wheels, don't want to turn my MKZ into a 4x4

We have a 2007 MKZ and are getting a 2015 MKZ to replace it. The new MKZ is beautiful from the side and rear but the grill is ugly enough that it almost caused us to consider another make. There seems to be no suitable aftermarket substitutes out there. The blacked out grill in zep's previous post looks good. Maybe removing the 1st, 3rd and 5th (every other) grill bars would make it look better. Painting the grill body color might help, too.

It has been said that the current Lincoln grills look like the Joker from Batman.
