The biggest feature on the Lincoln MKZ is it's ability to drive itself (well, steer). Do you feel this is an improvement for the future of cars or do you think it's a step back?

Isn't it some sort of lane keeping assist?

For the general public this is a great improvement, people do get tired of driving and end up forcing them selves to drive, at least with this self driving technology it will make owning a Lincoln MKZ better. I wouldn't care for it tho, I love driving.

I think drive assist more as a safety precaution, which I think is a good thing. This feature should be used more as an emergency function like airbags. For example, when airbags deploy on a crash, the drive assist should only be used, if the driver happens to fall asleep and the car centers itself.

I wouldn't want this function to be relied on by drivers to steer. I feel it would make drivers even worse and a lazier drivers.
