2O14 MKZ & Intro

Hi all, I'm Cody. While at work Friday, I decided I was over my Honda and drove home with a 14 MKZ 2.0 w/ roof. I am completely obsessed with my Z and look forward to being a member of the forum. Anyways, enough rambling, here she is:

Never thought of the MKZ as a possible "limo" but seeing it in black with limo dark tints, It seems worthy enough of being part of a limo/taxi fleet

Looks great in black. I love the red light bar on the back too.

Have you found the touch screen centre control annoying, and by that I mean having no buttons or dials there?

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately the forum is blocked at my dealership. Anyways, I went with FWD. As far as the limo/taxi it will only be driven as much as one. Ha ha. I have found MyLincolnTouch to be VERY easy and fun to use. It took a little to get use to but is very clean and modern.

Hi cstu93

I have the same MKZ 2013 black 2.0 Eco boost.
I was wondering if you get a chance to use your trunk during rain or slush.
I found that when I open it a lot of water and dirt is going directly in the trunk from the two sides at falls down on my luggage.
this is something that I found as unacceptable for a luxury class car.
I don't have pictures but I will take some to show you what I am talking about.

Other than that me also I am very happy with my MKZ. The style the performance I love it.

I don't think i've ever heard of 12 percent tints.

I was told 5% but I believe it is 10%.

How do you find them to be at night when parking? is it too dark? just right?

They are too dark at night but perfect for the day. I don't regret it but will not go as dark next time.

I figured. It was like that with my first car since i wasn't all that familiar with tint. I ended up rolling down my windows just to help back into parking spots and see where i'm going while parking.

I am still doubting the percentage for my tint. I have found the rearview camera to be a huge help! I literally back into every spot.

Sounds about right, thats what I do too and look at the lines with my side mirrors

I feel like 25 or 30 percent all around is enough
if you go all around it will be dark enough.

Water running in the trunk - not pleasing. I have the same issue every time I wash it. I do't see any way around it either.
