Nice comparison list. But to be fair, except for the top two all the others cars are petrol. It would be better if we could see more hybrids in there.

Agree, more hybrids would make this fair. If anything the non-hybrid MKZ should be here since a lot of the cars in this comparison are non-hybrids.
Clearly Kia needs to improve on MPG, but with the Cadenza being so cheap some people may not car so much, 28MPG's isn't all that bad.

At first glance of the comparison of mpgs in this segment the MKZ stands at the top but with a hybrid. I don't know if that is a fair comparison. I mean the MKZ hybrid making 45Mpg is not something to complain about but what about the other model hybrids.

A good hybrid that would shut out the MKZ that's also in the same class would be a Lexus hybrid coupe that has a prius hybrid powertrain since it gets 51 city and 48 highway. but for the luxury segment, MKZ does well.

Yeah That's what I was thinking I mean for a full sized sedan fuel economy is up there with smaller compacts like the Prius but they are totally different cars.

The new MKZ hybrid is pretty impressive being able to rack up those kinds of numbers in mpgs. Just look at the Toyota Avalon Hybrid which is in the same class I would guess and it only gets 39 MPGS.

Regardless the MKZ hybrid does have impressive mileage.

I'm not interested in the hybrid though :) Wow the Jetta Hybrid is affordable!
