Part of “the biggest statement Lincoln has ever made at an auto show” is the MKZ sedan concept, which is set to debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show right around the corner.

Up until now, we haven’t even had a single idea on what the concept may look like, but Lincoln has released the first official teaser of the sedan ahead of the show. The photo reveals the return of the full-width taillight for Lincoln, but more importantly proves that a fully new redesigned vehicle for the brand is the right direction to help Ford reinvigorate sales of their luxury brand.

AutoGuide will have more on its official debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. Until then, see the complete show preview here.

Well the new refresh for the MKZ sedan is already out. Now I am just waiting on the MKZ coupe to makes it way to the spotlight.
Not sure about the coupe I think it was something brewing up in the rumor mill.

Seeing the MKZ hybrid is expected to do, a hybrid MKZ coupe would be a great addition to the line.

Love the LED strip tail light but I have been seeing the MKZ on the road more often now. Weird how this news just got on but yeah sure if Lincoln was to ever throw in a coupe like the MKZ I think it would give them more coverage since they only have a few vehicles. What is there the MKX and whats the other one?

Lincoln has plans of bringing another one but it's not the MKZ coupe. It's the cross over MKC. At this time I think is remaining as a concept but there has been news it might be making its way to production.

There are others in Lincoln's line up. They have the MKX, MKS, MKT, and of course the navigator.

^ Yup and the MKZ is at the bottom of the food chain here. having a coupe would capture the different crowd which they need. Somewhat of a sportier side I want to say. Consumers still do have a bias feel towards the brand especially the younger crowd and by that I mean the 25+ group.
