2013 2.0 Ecoboost AWD, rpm/power problem?

Hi, so I am curious as to whether anyone else has this problem. For about the first 20 minutes of driving when my car shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear the car tends to lose power for a second or two. It also does this when using the paddle shifters. It only does this from 2nd to 3rd gear and only for the first 20 minutes of driving. Does anyone know if this is normal? I brought it to Lincoln but they said they don't see anything wrong. I drove a 2014 the other day and it doesn't do this. Any insight is appreciated!

it looses power between the shift?

how are you feeling this? the car stops accelerating?
It occurs right before the shift. You feel a hard pull back right before it shifts
It feels like the car has lost power but then it shifts and starts to accelerate again. If you are using it with the paddle shifters you can tell a second or two goes by between the time you clicked the paddle and it switching gears. None of the other gear shifts do this.

sounds like gear slip, but thats strange for a new car... Has it always done this? Have you spoken with your technician about it?
I want to say it could be the fluid in the transmission but this is happening on a new car, best to take it into the dealer to see what they have to say.

That doesnt sound normal. It should be smooth.

I would find another dealership or continue to push your dealership that this is an issue.
Not all dealers will treat you the same. It's best to try a few to make sure you're getting the best service and help you can get.
I also have a 2013 MKZ 2.0 AWD, and it does the same thing. It seems like it just takes longer to shift between those gears than others.
