Need help fueling

Sounds like a dumb question but I can't figure out how to open the lid at the gas filler. Just got the car yesterday

Its a push latch.
push the fuel door in to open, push the door in to close.
Also, there is no gas cap.

Also, there is a special fuel filler nozzle hidden under the trunk carpet just behind the driver rear seat (fold down the rear seat to access). You need that if you ever need to add fuel from a gas can.
I just accidently discovered this feature watching a Lincoln online video.

Now you have an answer. You might have been to excited to read the manual but its understandable.

That would suck if they forgot or if you lost the nozzle attachment when you are stranded without gas....

I thought I read the manual in detail. I learned what kind of fuel, how to insert nozzle, what to do if you run out of gas etc. All these answers were after the lid was opened. Couldn't find anything on how to open the lid. Now that I have the answer I really feel dumb for not trying that.

thankfully people can't siphon gas easily, it will take a lot of work to make it happen.

Those kind of security features should have been there for a while even in older cars. Who still siphons gas? lol

I think it has an anti-siphon device built in, which is why you don't need a separate gas cap.
